How Does It Work?
The Vytaliving BioFeedbac™ range has taken over 35 years of clinical research and development. The BioFeedbac™ Knee Support utilises the technology to re-educate the body's muscles to improve posture and movement- giving users relief from knee pain and the discomfort associated with it.
Patients with muscular pain in and around their joints are less in tune with their proprioception. The proprioceptive system is made up of receptor nerves positioned in the muscles, joints and ligaments. The receptors can sense tension, so stretch and pass this information to the brain where it is processed. The brain then responds by signalling to muscles to contract or relax to produce the desired movement. This system is subconscious. We don’t have to think about these movements or the corrections to movements. Most importantly, the body is able to be taught using so-called neural plasticity. This proprioceptive system can help to minimise overstretching, encouraging minor adjustments in movement and minimising further pain and injury.
